| I. Operating instruction of gate valve |
| (I) Procedures |
|
1.
|
Verify first that product is a stem lifting type or stem non-lifting type product. |
|
2.
|
There are markings, such as O (Open) ←→S(Shut) or ←O, S→, on upper side of handwheel's front. |
|
3.
|
Please follow the indicated direction to open and shut off the gate valve. |
|
4.
|
For stem lifting product, the valve stem will be raised to the fully open position when operated to open the valve while the valve stem will be lowered to its shutoff position when operated to close the product. |
|
5.
|
For stem non-lifting product, the valve stem will only be rotated instead of being raised or lowered. |
| I. Troubleshooting methods: |
|
1.
|
Leakage at core stem |
|
(1).Recommended action: |
for the first thing, evenly fasten the nuts on the upper part of flange at both sides of product’s core stem for 1~2 threads; also, rotate the core stem to allow the cotton thread wrapped around core stem to pack inward until the leakage stops (refer to the figure in the right). Please refer to attachment #3 for description of actual practice. |

Note:(If the adjustment nut was not evenly fastened, flange might be broken and threads of bolt & nut might be slipped) |

2.
|
Leakage at joint face between upper cover and valve body |
|
(1).Recommended action: |
First, fasten the setscrews once again, if this action still in vain, then release the pressure and drain out the water from the pipe; next, remove the setscrews, take out the upper part of valve body, scrape to clean the residues of gasket from the joint face, wipe to clean its surface, smear it with little volume of grease, place a new gasket in place, then follow the same action in reverse order to assemble them back in position and fasten the setscrews accordingly. (Please refer to attachment #1). |
II. Operating instruction of check valve

| (I) Procedures |
|
1.
|
Please firstly verify if the valve disc inside the product acts normally prior to the mounting of valve. |
|
2.
|
Use hand from the inlet to push it upward to open it and let it go for 1 ~ 2 times. |
|
3.
|
When equipped with bypass valve. |
|
4.
|
Firstly, turn the handwheel at upper part of bypass valve in clockwise direction to fasten it tightly. |
|
5.
|
If there is a bypass valve after the mounting of product, turn its handwheel counterclockwise to open it. |
|
6.
|
Fitting of bypass valve is for motor’s function of water supply and air vent. |
|

Troubleshooting methods: |
|
1.
|
Leak taken place inside product |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
First, check if bypass vale is in shutoff status, then take it off to examine if it is seized by miscellaneous object or damaged. |
|
2.
|
Leak of pipe fittings at both sides of product |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
For the first thing, release the pressure and drain out the water from the pipe, remove the internal hexagonal bolt, put on extra rubber gasket or wrap it with water sealing tape, and then fasten the bolts back accordingly. |
|
3.
|
Leak at the joint face between valve body and bypass valve |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
Use a wrench to fasten the valve cover tightly in clockwise direction. |
|
4.
|
Leak at core stem of bypass valve |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
Use a wrench to fasten the packing nuts on core stem tightly. |
III. Operating instruction of ball valve
|
| (I) Procedures |
|
1.
|
There are markings, such as O (Open) ←→S(Shut) or ←O, S→, on upper side of handwheel’s front. |
|
2.
|
Please follow the indicated direction to open and shut off the valve. |
|
3.
|
Turn handle to parallel the pipeline to open the valve. |
|
4.
|
Turn handle to perpendicular to the pipeline to shut off the valve. |
|
5.
|
For gear type product, firstly verify the arrowhead-indicated position in indicator. |
|
6.
|
Then rotate handle clockwise to close valve and counterclockwise to open valve. |
|
7.
|
Pressure is adjustable; just adjust the opening of valve to modulate the flow. |
|
8.
|
Operate to adjust the opening in accordance with the customer’s demand. |
|

Troubleshooting methods: |
|
1.
|
Leakage at core stem |
|
|
(1)Recommended action: |
asten the packing nut on core stem tightly for valve of small size; evenly fasten the nuts at both sides of core stem for 1~2 threads. |
|
|
Note: (If the adjustment nut was not evenly fastened, flange might be broken and threads of bolt & nut might be slipped). |
|
2.
|
Leakage at joint face between valve cover and valve body |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
fasten the setscrews tightly once again, if this action still in vain, then release the pressure and drain out the water from the pipe; next, take out the upper part of valve body, replace a new gasket, then follow the same action in reverse order to assemble them back in position and fasten the setscrews accordingly. |
|
V. Operating instruction of ball valve
|
| (I) Procedures |
|
1.
|
Verify first if there are markings, such as O (Open) ←→ S (Shut) or ←O, S→, on upper side of handwheel’s front. |
|
2.
|
Please follow the indicated direction to open and shut off the valve. |
|
3.
|
Valve opening is adjustable for desired flow rate. |
|
4.
|
Valve of small size is ease of operation and has a small torque when trimming the water flow rate during operation is desired. |
|
5.
|
Valve of big size is difficult for operational adjustment when trimming the water flow rate during operation is desired. |
|

Troubleshooting methods: |

1.

Leakage at core stem |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
for the first thing, evenly fasten the nuts on the upper part of flange at both sides of product’s core stem for 1~2 threads; also, rotate the core stem to allow the cotton thread wrapped around core stem to pack inward until the leakage stops (please refer to attachment #3). |

V. Operating instruction of butterfly valve

| (I) Procedures |
|
1.
|
Firstly verify the correct Open and Close position of valve. |
|
2.
|
When operating a valve with a handle, grip the square needle-like handle and align with the desire opening position of valve, then release the needle-like handle and let the needle-like handle lock the dial scale. |
|
3.
|
There are 1~8 divisions in dial scale of product for opening of U-slot with markings of OPEN and CLOSE embossed at its upper part. |
|
4.
|
OPEN position and CLOSE position of product form an angle of 90°. |
|
5.
|
Product of gear type will have the marking OPEN and CLOSE in the front side of gearbox. Rotate handwheel clockwise to open the valve and counterclockwise to close the valve. Meanwhile, the arrowhead in the front side of gearbox will indicate the required opening of OPEN and CLOSE position. |
|

1.

Handle loosened or fallen off |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
Use hexagonal wrench to fasten the inner hexagonal bolts tightly once again. |
|
2.
|
Leak at core stem |
|
|
(1).Recommended action: |
Replace it with new part for core stem of small size. For core stem of big size, dismantle the gearbox, release the pressure in pipe, put on O-ring and brass bushing, assemble core stem back, then prime the water and perform the trial pressurization. Reassemble the gearbox when leak phenomenon is removed; fasten the retaining screws of flange tightly at both sides. |
|
Note: (If the adjustment nut was not evenly fastened, flange might be broken and threads of bolt & nut might be slipped) |
|
3.
|
Internal leakage: |
|
(1).Recommended action: |
(Gear type)- For the first thing, verify the life span of using the product and check if closing to the designated position failed. If it is so, then, adjust the positioning screw from the gearbox; rotate it to right for closing and left for opening. With its 2~3 threads slackened, turn the handwheel to reach the leak-stopping positioning, and then fasten the retaining screws. |
|
|
(Handle type)- For the first thing, verify if the dial scale in product was slackened, remove the handle and examine the parallelism of machined groove on core stem; next, use wrench to rotate the OPEN/CLOSE position to a leak-stopping positioning, unscrew the screw on dial scale and adjust to position it. After confirming the positioning, refasten the screws on dial scale firmly. |
|
VI. Operating instruction for setting up the opening position of balance valve
|
|
1.
|
Rotate the handwheel to tune the valve plug to an appropriate position, the current number of turns rotate by the handwheel is indicated by the position of valve plug shown by the indicator for number of turns and the dial for the number of turns on handwheel. Meanwhile, the angular arrowhead with associated angular scale at lower part is for used for indication of angle less than one turn. When both pointer and angular arrowhead point at “0”, it indicates that the valve is positioned at a shutoff state, and when scale is pointed in between “2” and “3” with an angular arrowhead pointed at “4”, it indicates that the handwheel has been rotated 2.4 turns. |

2.
|
Use and insert a flat screwdriver into the opening holes at both side of protecting cover and take out the protecting cover. |
|
3.
|
Use an internal hexagon wrench to rotate the position-memorizing screw to the stop position (L position) to finish memorizing the current position. Next, fasten the position-retaining screw to the recessed groove (M position) on valve cover and complete the locking of handwheel from rotation. |

Put the protecting cover back on handwheel. |
 |
| 5. |
Use wire to pass through the through apertures at both sides of handwheeel; wind and pull both ends tightly and use lead seal to bond both ends of wire to complete the sealing procedure for protecting the preset position. A broken lead seal or cutoff of wire indicates that the valve has been altered its setting. |

Troubleshooting methods: |
|
1.
|
cale indicator failed to move in response to the rotation of handwheel: |
Remove the protecting cover, use hexagonal sleeve to unfasten the nut, dismantle the handwheel, and then take out the indicator of opening. Take a circular bushing of outside diameter and sleeve it to the bottom and retain it there. Next, assemble the handwheel back, sleeve the core stem and fasten them tightly. Afterward, rotate the handwheel to check if the indicator of opening acts normally to indicate the opening. |
|
2.
|
Insufficient flow: |
First of all, check the water volume at outlet of pump on valve body is enough around 5~6kg or not, and then perform the flow trimming; otherwise the valve part will fail to be adjusted to meet the customer-demanded Cv value. |
